AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY
OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM
TO THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS


Personal information:
H.E.Mr. Nguyen Van Ngu was born in 1965 in Bac Ninh province, Viet Nam. He has been working since 1991 in various positions and has extensive bilateral and multilateral diplomatic experience.
He was married with Madam Nguyen Kim Oanh, and has two children.

Education:
- In 1989, graduated from Moscow University of International Relations, Russian Federation (MGIMO), specialized in international law.
- In 1997, graduated from the School of administration of maritime affairs in Bordeaux, France (Ecole d'administration des affaires maritimes).
- In 2005, graduated with a Master of International Law from the University of Brussels, Belgium.
- Foreign languages: Russian, French, English.

Career:
- 1991 to May 2000: Official, Government Boundary Committee (now National Border Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
- Jun. 2000 to Jul. 2007: Head of division, Office of the National Border Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Aug. 2007 to Dec. 2008: Deputy Director, Deputy Chief of Office of the National Border Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Jan. 2009 to May 2012: Counsellor, Embassy of the S.R. of Viet Nam in the Russian Federation.
- Jul. 2012 to Oct. 2016: Deputy Director General, Department of International Law and Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Oct. 2016 to Dec. 2019: Minister Counsellor, Embassy of the S.R. of Viet Nam in the Swiss Confederation.
- Feb. 2020 to Dec. 2021: Deputy Director General, Department of International Law and Treaties, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- Jan. 2022 to present: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the Republic of Belarus.
